I know that it has been awhile since my most recent post. Life has been extremly busy. About three weeks ago Scott and I headed up to San Francisco to my Aunt's 80th birhtday party. It was fun we headed downtown San Francisco and we had the nostalgic sourdough breadbowls with yummy clam chowder. It was a little cooler then we were used to, however it was nice to get away for a weekend. As soon as I returned home to Southern California I was busy from the moment that I arrived through our front door. Our ward Activities Chairman asked if Scott and I would be in charge of the food for our ward Christmas party. I had about five days left until that happened, so my new friend Margo came to the rescue and helped me throw this dinner together.
We had Chicken Kiev, Baked Potatoes and green beans with bacon bits. It was overall very nice. That week Margo, Norma (the relief society pres) and me made 250 cream puffs. It was a fun afternoon to cook with the ladies and the cream puffs turned out amazing. As soon as that dinner was over I was off to Maryland for Christmas. I was so tired and slept on the entire flight.
As soon as I got here my mother and I decided that it was time for me to buy some maternity clothes. Which I must say look retarded on me. I kind of have a belly but nothing to fill maternity clothes yet. I bought a few things, but I must admit that rubberbands are holding up my pants these days not belts.
As soon as I arrived in Maryland, it snowed 24 inches. It was so beautiful. My wonderul mother put out bird feed for the winter birds, and we had a parade of birds in our backyard. It was neat to see such a neat variety. I also have had some time to catch up with a few of my old friends. I met her for dinner just last night. It was nice to go to one of my favorite sandwich shops here in the D.C. area. Potbellys is the greatest sandwich ever, and not to mention the awesome oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. All I have to say is YUMMY. I don't usually ever indulge in dessert at a restaurant, however these cookies came directly from heaven.
Well, Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and my husband arrives in a few hours. Oh how my life has changed. I got married and now I am almost half way done with my pregnancy. I find out a few days after I return home, if I am having a boy or a girl. I guess this will make things more real for me. I still have yet to feel anything. I am excited and nervous all in one. I am secretly hoping for a boy and soon I will find out. It is exciting. Well folks that is all for now. Have a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful new year.
