Just the other day, I went to go exploring by myself, and I loved it. I loved it so much that I invited three friends to go and do it again. The town of Oak Glen is a little town nestled up in the mountains. I believe it is the only place that actually gets cool in Southern California. It was nice to feel the cool air and actually have to wear a sweater. My purpose for going to Oak Glen was to buy Apples to make homemade applesauce. So last week I spent Eight hours peeling, coring and cutting apples, but the end product was amazing.
I loved all the little quaint shops shattered through the town. The Apple Cider donuts were a little slice of heaven for my pregnant belly. I loved the drive and the changing leaves. My entire trip was reminiscent of a cold autumn day in Maryland or a trip through the mountains of Utah. The Old nostalgic costumes that were at Riley's farm were replica's of old nobleman and woman. The old style candy confections were sinfully delicious. The restaurants were open and friendly.
The trip was enjoyable and I wish I had about 20 of my friends from Utah there, but until that happens I will just have to post pictures. That is all for now!
