So in the last few weeks I have gone a little crazy and have made burp clothes, matching bibs,a changing pad for our main floor, a Moses Basket, tons of curtains, I have painted new furniture to house all of the baby things. The little brown cabinet that sits on top of my cream cabinet is the new home for diapers and wipes on our main floor. I have refinished a china cabinet and found a new wreath to hang over my mirror in my family room. I have made new pillows and I even made a curtain to cover my fireplace. ( I saw that in a magazine and it was too cute of an idea to pass up. ) My friend even came over and gave me a beautiful new blanket to Match the babies nursery. I have enjoyed doing everything. I even have cleaned the baseboards of my house. I found a new top to go on my desk. I found some great miniature lampshades to go over my dining room light fixture. I also found a darling little Noah's ark set at a garage sell that was too cute to pass up. I also re-did my yellow lamp and found a red lampshade to go with it to put on my buffet in the dining room. I have to say that, I have been busy.
Well I was put on bedrest or was told to take it easy until the baby comes. I had a Dr's appointment yesterday and he sent me to the hospital to be monitored for two hours last night. He said that the baby really could come at any time from here on out. I was 80-90% effaced (sp) and 1 centimeter dialated and the baby was at a -1 yesterday. He was kind enough to tell me to return this friday and if nothing has happened by then, he will schedule me for a induction. So, there you have it in a nutshell. I am off to lay on the couch the rest of the day.
