Halloween 2009

Here are our Halloween costumes. I must admit that I missed the annual road ralley that my friends put on every year, I guess the ward truck or treat will have to suffice for the year. I did miss seeing all my dear friends dress up and try and out do each other every year, I guess I am just talking about my friend Tiffani who has to keep here costume a secret. I missed seeing all my friends little kids at the kids party this year. Can you tell that I miss Utah. Thats okay slowly I am starting to make friends and crawl out of my comfort zone.

This Halloween we went to Four parties if you count the ward party as one of them. I did enjoy the antics that went on there. I have to tell you the story of the mildly retarted lady in the ward that started screaming in the microphone because someone beat up her little boy. That was a riot. She then made my night by joining all the other children in the trunk or treat. Her older brother joined her as well and he came trick or treating around the church parking lot. I said aren't you a little too old for this and he said that she was collecting candy to pass out in his apartment complex because he did not want to buy any candy to pass out. I just had to laugh. I guess to each his own.

I did not mention this earlier but I am going to my first doctors appointment tomorrow and I am so nervous and I have no idea why. I think everything should go fine but I guess I will find out everything tomorrow. I am on my way to go apple picking today. It should be fun. I am going to make homemade applesauce and I wish each of you could come over and try it out. Well thats enough for now.

So I still have some pictures to hang on the wall, but for the most part our home is put together. It was quite an undertaking meshing two households together. I have loved Southern California for the most part. I just need to transport about 15 of my closest friends here. I must admit that when I read thier Blogs and see what I am missing I get kind of teary eyed. I must admit the ward here is Super kind and very welcoming. We have had several visitors and we would LOVE more. We have a four bedroom three bath house and we always have plenty of room.

I have been busy with starting a new etsy store. I should be in full operation by the end of the weekend. I have several things to sell so if anyone is interested my storefront name is merrily75.etsy.com. I will be posting things all weekend to sell.

In my next post I will show pictures of what I am selling. Anyways I have had a ton of people that have asked to see my house and here it is in all it's Glory. Please come for a visit.

Wedding Photos

A little sooner then expected.

I havn't even posted my pictures of our wedding yet and here I am posting our news. I am still in shock to tell you the truth. On our honeymoon in Mexico I got pregnant. When Scott and I took the test I was sure that I was late because I was stressed, or some other unknown reason. Well Scott started laughing and I started crying, when we got the results. I am just a few weeks along and I am so tired I have no idea what to do with myself. This was a little early for both of us, however as my Mother said apparently someone was a little anxious to get here. So there you have it, my secret is out. I will post some wedding photos soon.

Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was so much fun. We went on a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera. It was so nice to have a vacation after the move and the reception. Scott took me snorkeling and that was my favorite part of the trip. We both got sunburned but it was worth it. We ate some great food and met some wonderful people on our cruise. It was so relaxing hopfully we can do it again soon.

Four weeks from Friday is the big day!

Well what more do I need to say, here are my bridals. This weekend the countdown will be to four weeks. I can hardly wait.

Engaged

All those rumors are true. I am getting married Aug 28th in the Draper Temple. We are having our reception Aug 29th. I got my ring July 9th in Corolla Light, North Carolina. We went to go and take engagement photos and Scott asked me if I wanted to wear the ring in the photos and I said sure bring it along. Well I started to give it back to him at the end of our photo shoot and he said just keep it on your finger and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was nice to have my brother there to capture the moment. I look forward to spending eternity with the love of my life.

My Birthday

So I so wish I had a picture to post today. Because this post is not about me but it is about my Grandmother. Every year on my birthday I always got a call from my Grandmother Nellie J. Pratt. She would alway recount the circumstances surrounding my birth. So I will recount some of them for each of you. My Mother had a still born several years before she gave birth to me. I can't recall the exact problem that my mom was suffering from with her prior pregnancies, but she started to suffer the same things while she was pregnant with me. My blessed Mother was put on bedrest and she had to be flown to Palo Alto to visit a Dr at a high risk pregnancy clinic. My mom constantly reminds me that she had to stay in bed for six weeks. Well while my mom was on bed rest for six weeks, my sweet grandmother had three busy little boys, ages 6,4 and 3. Anyways my mother had a priesthood blessing and was healed. I was born July 1, 1975. I can't believe that time has flown by. I have lived such a full and wonderful life. I have had such stellar examples and loved ones put into my life. Every year I always reflect around this time of year. I miss my grandmothers call on my birthday and the things that I have done in the past years that I have not been able to share with her. I just hope that in the coming years I will have a guardian angle looking over me.
